Cognitive Engagement Week: Stimulating the Mind & Lifting Spirits

From November 3-7, our staff is hosting Cognitive Engagement Week, a series of activities proven to boost memory retention and slow cognitive decline. Sessions include:

  • Storytelling and memory circle
  • Strategy board games and puzzles
  • Music-based recall therapy
  • Guided art and craft projects
Residents are grouped by comfort level to ensure positive, stress-free participation. Families are welcome to attend afternoon sessions—shared activity fosters connection and reduces social isolation.
Scientific evidence shows regular cognitive stimulation supports neural plasticity. Our goal is to make “mental fitness” a joyful routine, not a chore.
